First dive into film making!

Our first project in my Moving Image course, just to experiment with what the class could make a 16mm Bolex camera. It was awesome to use these cameras and I really want to try animating with them. I worked with a small group of classmates, who all contributed directing, shooting, and light metering. This was a really fun assignment and I think the ending result is really good.

End of Semester Figure Studies:

Some more drawings from my figure study course (it's been a while since I've posted some of the things I drew, so they should go from oldest to newer pictures).
This one I feel isn't the best, but still not too shabby if I do say so myself.

One of the models is a pretty cool guy; he jokes with us, and is always excited to do fun poses. He was instructed by our teacher to wear this hat. Unfortunately though, because he was late to class, we had to start late and didn't get a chance to complete the work. Regardless, this is a good way of showing how these drawing are completed.

And finally, this is what I drew for today's class. There was a couple of substitute teachers and they were all giving me compliments. I have really come to enjoy figure drawing!

The Blues:

Here's a short comic I made for the final in my Transfer Studio class. It's an autobiographical piece about a cherished childhood memory I have of my father. The overall project was a triptych about the blues and its effect on me as a person.

One More Figure Study:

Once again, the teacher said "Good Job!" to both me and a classmate. Totally awesome!

Life Drawing:

Did this in figure drawing class. My instructor gave me a pat on the back and said, "Very well done, Alex!"
Because he is very hard on his critiques on students work in class his compliments felt well deserved.
